Sun Yat-sen Portrait in Tiananmen Square

A worker touches up the frame of a giant portrait of Sun Yat-Sen erected in Tiananmen Square September 29, 1989 in Beijing, China. The portrait is installed in the square each year as part of the celebrations of China's National Day on October 1. Sun is considered the founder of modern China for his 1911 overthrow of the last imperial dynasty.
