CHINCOTEAGUE, VA - Wild ponies cross the Assateague Channel during the annual Pony Swim and Auction to the island of Chincoteague, Virginia. The ponies are escorted by volunteers on horse back and in boats as they make the journey to the fair grounds where they will be auctioned.
