Black Bear Tongass National Forest
An adult American black bear carries a large salmon up a rocky outcropping at Anan Creek in the Tongass National Forest, Alaska. Anan Creek is one of the most prolific salmon runs in Alaska and dozens of black and brown bears gather yearly to feast on the spawning salmon.
